What We've Been Up To: Q4 2022 At CultureHead

Elizabeth Whyte and Eoin Colfer at the launch of the new Wexford Arts Centre

As we come up on the end of Q4 2022, it's time to reflect on some of the wonderful projects we’ve been working on the past 3 months. From outdoor concerts in beautiful Dublin City Centre to a brand new arts centre launch in Ireland’s South East; from music festivals making waves across the country to hands-on digital marketing training with our newest clients - this quarter certainly did not disappoint. On top of these amazing projects was one particularly exciting surprise: A secret collaboration between Ceadogán Rugs makers which will be revealed early 2023 -- can't wait until then!

Some of our highlights below from Q4 2022:

PR for pop-up concert

Dublin City Council brought the beat to Liberty Park with an unprecedented open-air concert - “The Liberty Vibe”! Pop, R&B, Funk and Electronica echoed throughout this little known urban gem invoking an atmosphere of celebration. The exciting performance by Irish star Cosha ignited the crowd as they were treated to a diverse range of musical genres including Hip Hop & Jazz. A real hit in entertainment media we organized features prior to the event FM104, The Irish Independent, Totally Dublin and Nialler9.

Marketing for launch of Arts Centre

Ireland's iconic Wexford Arts Centre has re-emerged from redevelopment, ready to bring new life and vibrancy back into the Southeast. This celebration marked a major milestone in Irish arts history thanks to its €3.2 million transformation which included an impressive three storey extension - offering world class facilities complete with enhanced accessibility for visitors of all abilities! As part of our PR Campaign for the launch The Ray D'Arcy Show on RTE Radio One provided ample coverage alongside thoughtful essays published by RTE culture and launch photos across national press.

Marketing for Irish Music Festival

After a hugely successful inaugural year boasting 12,000 people per day and praise from national media - Wild Roots Festival is returning bigger and better than ever. Celebrating 10 years since the release of their iconic 2013 album 'Home', Rudimental will be gracing the stage alongside Jenny Greene who had an unforgettable performance at last year's festival. Get ready to get wild next June bank holiday weekend with three days jam-packed full of outdoor adventure, performing arts extravaganza and incredible music experiences! As part of the initial launch we picked up widespread coverage including features on RTE, Nialler9 and Hotpress, buzz, LovinDubln. We’re buzzing to be working on this event again heading into 2023.

PR for BBC Award Announcement

Kerry playwright Neil Flynn, from Tralee, was awarded first prize for the 27th International Radio Playwriting Competition at a ceremony at BBC Broadcasting House, in London. Flynn’s winning script titled “The Snowman”, was chosen as the winning entry out of 850 submissions from more than 100 countries worldwide. It was the first time that the international award has been won by an Irish person. The Snowman is a lyrical monologue about an Antarctic explorer's desperate attempts to make it back to base camp. As part of the award, Flynn’s script is currently in the process of being turned into a dramatic recording that will be broadcast to millions of listeners on BBC World Service in February of next year. Culturehead looked after the announcement press release for this on behalf of Flynn and landed an image from the award ceremony and a feature in the Irish Times. We’re really looking forward to tuning into The Snowman when it’s broadcast in the New Year.

Digital Marketing Training

Finally, in Q4 2022 we began digital marketing training and support with our clients Séamus Ennis Arts Centre. We’ll be working with the marketing team at the centre until the end of January providing everything digital; from high-level strategy to paid advertising across facebook and google.

I'd Like take this opportunity to thank all of our clients, collaborators and supporters over the last year. Also, keep your eyes peeled for January 11th.... We've a big announcement coming of an exciting new project with Ceadogán Rug Makers.

Happy Christmas,

J.
